2025 Face of the Foundation
Kyrie Donn
Kyrie Donn’s journey is one of resilience, strength, and unwavering hope.
Though his life began with unexpected medical challenges, Kyrie continues to defy the odds every single day—surrounded by the love of his family, dedicated therapists, and a community committed to helping him thrive.

Kyrie’s Story:
Kyrie Kasen Donn was born on September 17, 2023, to Davon and Danielle Donn, joining his two proud big brothers, Ethan and Kylin.
Though born full term, Kyrie faced challenges from the very beginning. He spent his first days in the NICU due to hypoglycemia and struggled with severe acid reflux and dairy/soy allergies during infancy. Despite these obstacles, Kyrie continued developing at his own pace—meeting milestones, learning to crawl, and keeping his family smiling with his playful personality.
Then, on June 24, 2024, everything changed.
At just 9 months old, Kyrie went down for a nap after a normal day of playing and eating. When his father went to wake him, he found Kyrie unresponsive, blue, and limp. In a moment no parent should ever endure, his parents rushed into action—calling 911 while performing CPR.
Kyrie began breathing again before arriving at the hospital, but the fight had only just begun.
He was airlifted to Arkansas Children’s Hospital after suffering more than 20 seizures and two strokes during transport. Doctors delivered devastating news: even with aggressive treatment, Kyrie’s chances of survival were low, and if he lived, they expected severe lifelong disabilities.
But Kyrie had other plans.
His family chose to fight.
Kyrie underwent emergency brain surgery and spent 17 days intubated in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, followed by additional weeks in the neuroscience unit. He endured feeding complications, neurological trauma, and countless difficult moments before finally being discharged after 38 days in the hospital.
Today, Kyrie lives with diagnoses including:
Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE)
Cerebral Palsy
Seizure Disorder
Cortical Vision Impairment
Yet despite every obstacle placed before him, Kyrie continues to amaze everyone around him.
He now participates in intensive therapy multiple days per week and has made incredible progress through MNRI treatment and specialized developmental support. His vision has improved dramatically, his strength continues to grow, and his joyful spirit shines brighter every day.
Kyrie loves bath time, trying new purées, cuddling with family, and watching Ms. Rachel. Most of all, he loves being surrounded by the people cheering him on.
His story is a powerful reminder that progress is possible, hope matters, and miracles happen every day.
“Kyrie has truly overcome and defied all odds. The support, therapies, and encouragement we’ve received have helped him continue progressing toward his fullest potential.” - Kyrie's Mom
